Trait pour Trait's artist
Name: Isabelle Andris
Passion: Dray horses!
Favourite technique: graphite and coloured pencils, Indian ink and acrylic.
Artistic fantasy: to create a life-size dray horse in papier mâché ;o)
My ultimate pleasure is when owners see my exhibits, recognise the horses in my drawings and look for their own.
What question am I asked most often?
Do I only draw dray horses... of course not, I draw other types of horse, but dray horses are the horses I love above all!

My training
I have always drawn, but it was just ten years ago that I learnt the technique of drawing at the Machri studios in Brussels.
Following this, I took a multi-disciplinary course at the Fine Arts Academy in Woluwé St. Pierre, where I learned to draw differently, to have another approach to composition and to the subject.
And of course, I can't overlook La Cambre, where I studied art restoration.
